Cons Short lunches, stereotypical call center environment, stressful customer situations. Management constantly watching you from their cubicles. Company is very corporate, you are completely replaceable. CEO seems a little childish with his random and unfiltered emails to the entire company. Pay is low for the amount of money the company is actually making. Micromanaging, calling you out for your mistakes in front of everyone. Scolding you like a child, making you compete with your peers for work. Very hostile environment. Cons Micromanaging, feels like a prison. Their practices are very deceiving and chief of human resources is not honest and/or transparent. It seems like a great company but then you realize it is not. Some leadership who has joined recently are frustrated and not able to their jobs because the founders are who really run the business as they please. Pros I wish I could say something positive Cons dishonest, not transparent, deceiving. Enjoyed working at Shield. Would work there again in the PMO or as a part of the information technology organization.

People in the organization are knowledgeable and helpful. Management does not give employees a chance to learn or grow their market. Terminated after 6 months in the field. Director was out for herself. Trainings are good, but zero assistance from upper Management. Benefits are horrible. PTO is horrible. They do not care about work/family balance. Do not have all contracts so your commission is horrible. Don't voice your opinion. I have enjoyed my work experience at Shield Health Care. My boss treats me well and shows her appreciation. I have a great team. The pay isn't great though and could be better. A very sad place to work. They only tend to hire people who are desperate for a job, or need some kind of sponsorship. Compensation is on the floor, and management it inept. A typical day of work is answering phone calls and setting up new accounts for customers. You can average 100 new accounts a month and still get zero commission. You can get 50 new accounts and still get zero commission.
