Camp Lemonnier Troops Volunteer at Djiboutian Orphanage By: Petty Officer 1 st Class Shawn D. Graham, CJTF-HOA Public Affairs CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (July 12, 2010) – Service members from Camp Lemonier visited the Franciscan Missionaries of Notre Dame baby orphanage July 10 to assist staff and caregivers in feeding and bathing more than 50 babies trusted to their care. Upon arrival, volunteers greeted the staff, picked the baby they wanted to feed first, and then made their way to the p re-staged baby bottles so feeding time could be gin. Once they were done feeding one child, it was time to continue the process with another baby until all babies were fed. U. S. Marine Corps Sgt. Caleb Griffen said that volunteering at the orphanage was uplifting and made his service at Camp Lemonnier more fulfilling. "Some of the older children remember you and will race to the door as soon as they see you, " said Griffen. "When they start s miling it makes y ou smile. " "I was excited when I read about the volunteer opportunity, " said G riffen.
Fully understands NAVFAC PWD processes and ensures Requirements Branch Team serves as the expert liaison between the PWD and its customers in educating them on procedures and processes, keeping them informed on status of all work affecting their mission, and helping them set realistic expectations. The Requirements Branch Head, with support of FMS staff, develops and maintains the PWD MEP (Maintenance Execution Plan), MAP (Maintenance Action Plan), and LRMP (Long Range Maintenance Plan). Manages and administers the ICAP (Infrastructure Condition Assessment Program) for the PWD. Administers the CBMM (Condition Based Maintenance Management) program for the PWD in accordance with the NAVFAC P-501 guidance. Ensures that subordinates are fully knowledgeable on all aspects of their facilities, what function they perform in the overall mission of their customers, the priorities of those customers, and how to assist them in articulating their facility requirements. Travel Required 76% or greater - This position is 100% TDY to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa and requires travel 76% or more of the time.
