Made the move in August with my SO, who was able to get a fairly well-paying job (frustratingly) only 2 months after finishing her masters in social work. We live comfortably at the moment and I'm doing part time work from home so the need for a second income is not life-or-death. The move was really good for both of us, as we both needed a change of environment. Since leaving my home state, we've noticed considerable improvements to our mental health.

I don't know where you live, I'm in the UK so my advice might not apply. From the fact that you drink Fosters, you are most likely in the UK. I get extremely anxious in interviews as well, so you aren't the only one. I have failed to pass interviews because of my nerves. I get nervous to the point of stumbling over the world and completely fucking up my answers. I ended up going to the Doctor, who prescribed me Diazepam (I would have been given beta blockers if it wasn't for my asthma). I had an interview today. I took half a diazepam an hour before the interview; it didn't have any effects on my consciousness, I didn't feel stoned or anything, but I didn't feel nervous about talking to people. i was able to give thoughtful and confident answers. It's something to consider, and it has the advantage that your breath won't smell of booze. Obviously, if that is something you would do, there isnt time to get any before your interview... but it's something to think about before any future interviews.
