It is close enough to LA, and many sports agencies are out in that area, as well as teams! I personally feel as if I would have the best peace of mind and quality of life out at Chapman. Brooklyn and NYLS are great as well because of my NYC dream, but the weather in NYC is NOT ideal for me. Would not be able to golf or have that nature scene, but its NYC! I think I am out on Loyola Chicago. It is a great school, but if I am going to endure cold weather, NYC would be the place I'd wanna do it. Tulane has a GREAT sports law program, as well as alumni network, and I have some friends living in NOLA (I go to Mississippi state rn) so I would stay close to my Mississippi State people. However, I would come out with around $70k in debt just from tuition. Cost of living is cheaper there though than other options. Georgia State is interesting, because it is probably the best all around law school I think. I have a friend who lives in Atlanta, and some family just north, plus I would stay in the south close to some friends.
However, to me, the real standout example of a guy taking the law on behalf of the people, to give onward to the people, (though he didn't pass the bar himself) is Huey P. Newton: Newton graduated from Oakland Technical High School in 1959, without being able to read, although he later taught himself; The Republic by Plato was the first book he read. [10] Newton attended Merritt College, where he earned an Associate of Arts degree in 1966. After Newton taught himself to read, he started "questioning everything. " In his autobiography, Revolutionary Suicide, he states: "Most of all, I questioned what was happening in my own family and in the community around me. " [11] Newton continued his education, studying at San Francisco Law School, and the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Philosophy. He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma. He later continued his studies and in 1980, he completed a PhD in social philosophy at Santa Cruz, with his thesis, War Against The Panthers: A Study Of Repression In America **.
