It is bound to have formulas, repeating enviroments and cliche scenarios to cut developing time. I guess that is why people like the Crossbell games so much, they took more time to develop th...
Would strongly recommend. Pros Office facilities; professional standards of excellence Very laid back work environment, busy, great benefits, management was pleasant to work with, only down side was they did have a period of lay offs Pros Benefits, management Cons None that were worth leaving over Work is getting push to offshore; managers show favors to his/ her community person in the team not fair to everyone; not room to growth and opportunities Poor salaries and bonuses Big and secure, great people, and if you prove your worth you will have doors open. Usual big corporate politics but great benefits and upward mobility. Pay is average. Pros Large diverse organization Very sressful environment to work. You never know when your job will be shipped over to other country and you will get a call not to come back to work My area had a high employee turnover. I believe I reported to 7 different bosses in less than three years. Many of the individuals I started with left the firm. Part of the certification team.
It was stressful at times but the coworkers were helpful. The company culture is typical corporate culture, and the job is not that hard. Pros free lunches atleast once a month, good benefits Cons hours could be demanding
They want one employees to perform 3 employees work. No transparent communication between manager and junior staff. Cons Poor Management & No Appreciation at all I wouldn't recommend working there to my enemy. I was laid off, twice, with no job security or advancement opportunity. Also, their bonus structure was completely bogus. Cons Horrible benefits, no paternity leave, no job security, and the bonus structure was bogus.. Start work early, and keep tabs with international team to pick up where they left off. Start your routine tasks, and once you're done you can: A) Ask around if help is needed B)Relax I was there 10+ years before I was laid off a few weeks back. They are overly metrics centered and are very cheap (except for the fatcats at the top). Management was consistently clueless during the Covid -19 work from disaster because they didn't spend extra money, Cons Your analynics define you. BNYM staff take their work seriously and are incredibly professional. The organization is also very committed to community service, historical preservation, the arts, innovation and DE&I.
Miss my team. Dynamic and inclusive employees. Lots of forms to fill out. Good health and 401K benefits. Flexible work hours. Nearly everyone working from home these days because of Covid19. good place to start career, dont stay, not competitive salary but benefits are average or better than some places. they expect you to catch on learn fast, even whnen they do not train well Analyst (Current Employee) - Tennessee - February 28, 2021 Stressful as many people were laid off in 2019. Now we don't have enough people for all of the work. They 'promote' people to take on roles to cover the immediate need after someone leaves but never give the grade and salary that they promised thatcomes with the promotion. Bamboozled. Cons Lie about paying you for promotions My advice is to run as fast as you can. The pay is subpar, management is overworked, the place is a joke. No matter how many times you bring issues to the higher ups attention nothing gets resolved. Pros Maternity leave was good Cons Low pay, you feel like a number Lack of communication between employees & upper management.
Fun work environment with coworkers and friends. Pros Hour lunch breaks, paid time off, other paid benefits. Cons Lacked work life balance. I enjoyed my time here. More ambitious people in the financial services industry might not be as happy with it. But I just enjoy working hard and enjoying my life. I would have stayed, but the CEO when I was there was more interested in taking gambles than in the success and well-being of people who worked there. Pros Relatively good work environment, work from home Cons Upper management not interested in the success and well-being of employees Poor leadership goes unchecked. Advancement not based on merit, clicks and personal friendships supersede experience and merit. Messaging from senior / executive management is not effectively communicated to divisions; confused messaging / priorities. Lack of diversity in mid and senior management. Great place to work. Very productive environment. Very forward thinking management. Worked there 6 years. Best years of my working life.
Location United States 3, 687 reviews Job security was a concern. BNY regularly has layoffs. Working for Corporate Trust at The Bank of New York Mellon was always challenging. The offices were professional and clean. Management at the time were fair and open. To ideas. Pros Challenges we're always something to look forward to which made the job great. Cons Layoffs. No job security I've learned a lot in my role and most of that is thanks to my manager supporting me in my desire to grow. However, don't expect a nice raise or opportunities to advance in your career just because you are great at what you do. You'll get a nice year-end review to make you feel good and then they hope you just keep chugging along. If you want to advance, you need to really push to make it happen and if you hit a ceiling, it's time to start looking elsewhere. Pros Great COVID response, flexible WFH Cons Limited opportunities for growth Great first job out of college. Could become potential long term career. Management and peers were supportive of one another.
